The Rockefeller Center and the 30 Rock building

The Rockefeller Center is a commercial and office complex that occupies several blocks of Midtown Manhattan, between 48th and 51st streets.

The Top of the Rock is located at the top of the Comcast skyscraper, between floors 67 and 70. This building is also called 30 Rock because it stands at number 30 of the Rockefeller Center.
In addition to the observatory, the Comcast Building houses offices and the world headquarters of the NBC television network, whose store awaits you on the ground floor. Also on the ground floor of the building you will find many other shops: coffee shops, souvenir shops ...

The entrance and the elevator
The entrance to the Top of the Rock is located in the lobby of the Comcast Building, marked with the ‘Observation Deck’ sign.
If you have to buy or collect tickets, you must first go through the box office on the ground floor. If you have the printed entry or QR code in your email, it is not necessary.
When you have the entrance, head to the tail of the main floor. Look at the huge Swarovski lamp that decorates the room, with more than 14,000 sparkling crystals.
The first minutes of the tour will fly between queues and waiting. First you will have to pass the security check and then you will arrive at a room with a small exhibition about the history of the Comcast Building and its curiosities.
There you will also have the possibility of taking a photo pretending that you are suspended on a scaffold on top of the building (the price of the photo is not included in the entrance).
At the end of the room the queue for the elevator is formed. Workers divide people into groups and tell you when you can climb. Now yes: in 42 seconds of travel you will step on the Top of the Rock!
