I usually select my mobile's phone for "two time zones" so it will display to separate times on the screen. Such a smart phone! You never give tmezones their true value, until you are traveller yourself...
As much as I have been loving India, the 12h difference between here, and my home town is overwhealming. I know now how important it is to keep an eye on time zones, for your personal calls and other schedules.
