Jewelry does not seem over the top as a birthday present. I don't know, maybe it's because people are on that shopping for everyone mood, perhaps because they feel generous at the end of each year, or just because I'm a terrific person all-year-long, but it is, what it is.
It's just wonderful. I realize I did not purchase the majority of my jewelry, since it was given to me, mostly because of my birthday around a major holiday.
C'est la vie.
